noobSlide img-Buttons nicht anklickbar

Hallo.
Ich habe den NoobSlide und die Vor- und Zurückbuttons auf meiner Seite. Funktioniert super.
Wenn ich aber den Text-ident verschiebe und an deren Stelle Grafiken einbinden will passiert folgendes:
Die Grafiken sind sichtbar, die Maus reagiert auch bei Hover wie bei einem Link. Allerdings passiert nichts, wenn ich auf die Grafiken klicke. Wo habe ich meinen Fehler?

Previous und next span hatte ich auch schon vorher angesprochen, allerdings ohne Wirkung. So funktioniert es jetzt. Weiss der Teufel, warum das klappt und das andere nicht, aber Gott sei dank :)
