Third Party Erweiterungen manuell installieren
Third Party Erweiterung manuell installieren

Although it might seem obvious or self-explanatory for the majority of us, there are always a few users who ask how to install a third party extension. Therefore a short tutorial:
Manually installing an extension
1. Look for the extension you wish to install in the Extension Repository and download it.
2. The extensions are saved in a zip-archive. Unpack the file.
3. The next step is easy. The extensions all have the same structure as the root file of TYPOlight. This means you don't have to worry about where you have to upload your just downloaded file. Just upload it as shown in the following screenshot.
4. Then, you go to your install.php in your browser exactly the same way as you did it when you first installed your TYPOlight core. Follow the instructions until you reach the database part. Update your database by clicking on the button after the table details.
5. That's it. The extension is installed!
6. The additional settings vary from extension to extension. Usually you can use your extension via a module. Read the instructions for each extension carefully or ask on the board.
7. Last but not least: Don't forget to write your own tutorial if there isn't one yet. That's the only way TYPOlight can stay alive!
Feedback is welcome!
