lcobucci/jwt 4.1.0 requires ext-sodium * -> the requested PHP extension is missing

Hallo zusammen,
ich versuche gerade eine Installation von Version 4.10 auf Host Europe mit Hilfe des Contao Manager.
Die Systemprüfung meldet dazu "Composer-Abhängikeiten sind nicht installiert."
Es läuft PHP 7.4 auf dem HostEurope Server.

Folgende Fehlermeldung wird im Manager beim Punkt "composer install" angezeigt:

Kann mir bitte jemand weiterhelfen und erklären warum diese Fehlermeldung entsteht?

Die Composer Cloud hat in deinem Fall die Abhängigkeiten derart aufgelöst, sodass das Paket lcobucci/jwt in Version 4.1.0 installiert werden würde. Das geht in deinem Fall aber nicht, weil dieses Paket in dieser Version auch die PHP extension ext-sodium benötigt - welche bei dir aber nicht zur Verfügung steht. Theoretisch sollte das jedoch nicht passieren, da der Contao Manager deine zur Verfügung stehenden PHP Extensions an die Cloud übermittelt.

Besteht vielleicht die Möglichkeit, dass du diese PHP Extension für deine Server Umgebung aktivierst?

... möglicherweise installierbar in der Vorversion 4.0, siehe https://packagist.org/packages/lcobucci/jwt#4.0.0

Allerdings zu beachten: Mit lib_sodium werden Signaturfunktionen implementiert - das ist vermutlich sicherer als ohne.

Aber wie kann es sein, dass ich auf dem selben Server im selben verzeichnis vor ein paar Tagen noch Contao einwandfrei installieren konnte ohne diese Fehlermeldung. Es wurde ja nichts verändert ausser das Verzeichnis einmal komplett gelöscht um Contao noch einmal "sauber" von Null zu installieren.

Das Problem ist hier die Composer Resolver Cloud. Die verfügbaren PHP Extensions werden zwar an die Cloud übertragen - jedoch werden dann vermutlich auch die auf der Cloud selbst verwendeten PHP Extensions miteinbezogen. Die Cloud hat ext-sodium zur Verfügung - und daher kommt es dann zu diesem Problem. Siehe auch https://community.contao.org/de/show...r-Installation

Seit dem (das Problem tritt seit einigen Tagen auf mehreren Installationen auf) kann ich keine Extensions mehr hinzufügen oder entfernen.

Ich würde denen antworten: "Wenn es nicht vorhanden ist, dann fügt es doch einfach hinzu. Dann ist es vorhanden". Ansonsten, wenn das nicht möglich ist, hast du ja eine temporäre Lösung gefunden. Wenn ich Spooky richtig verstehe, dann hat die Resolver-Cloud da noch ein Problem, so dass nicht immer nur die übermittelten PHP-Extensions verwendet werden. Ich denke mal auch dafür wird es irgendwann eine Lösung geben.

Dass Sodium nicht zur Verfügung steht liegt nicht unbedingt in der Verantwortung von Alfahosting. Ich vermute dass Hoster typischerweise nicht selbst PHP kompilieren, sondern sich auf die Pakete des jeweiligen Linux Ökosystems verlassen. Und da ist nun mal nicht garantiert, wie PHP in der jeweiligen Version kompiliert wurde. Also in diesem Fall mit oder ohne dem --with-sodium Flag.

Also es gibt schon welche, die das selbst kompilieren. Dass das nicht alle machen, davon gehe ich auch aus. Aber ich gebe mich noch der Illusion hin, dass jeder Webhoster dazu in der Lage wäre. Bei Netcup habe ich gerade mal geschaut, da scheint Sodium mit drin zu sein, bei All-Inkl habe ich nicht die phpinfo angeschaut, aber mal testhalber ein Update von 4.9.10 auf 4.9.11 durchgeführt und es gab keine Probleme, da wird es also wohl auch drin sein. Die anderen mir derzeit zur Verfügung stehenden werde ich im Lauf des Tages mal überprüfen.

Edit: Offenbar habe ich Glück(?), bei allen 6 von mir genutzten Webhostern ist Sodium bei PHP 7.4 verfügbar.

lcobucci/jwt in Version 4.1.0 benötigt ext-sodium. Contao selbst, wie auch Abhängigkeiten von Contao, requiren lcobucci/jwt in Version ^3.0 || ^4.0. Die Installation von Version 4.0.* von lcobucci/jwt, welche ext-sodium nicht benötigt, ist also erlaubt. Composer würde das auch so auflösen. Das Problem entsteht dann, wenn die Abhängigkeitsauflösung auf einem System gemacht wird, welches ext-sodium zur Verfügung hat, die composer install Operation aber dann auf einem System ausgeführt wird, wo ext-sodium nicht zur Verfügung steht.

Dieses Problem kann also auch dann auftreten, wenn man nicht die Cloud benutzt, sondern bspw. ein composer update lokal ausführt, die composer.lock dann deployed und am Zielsystem ein composer install ausführt, was ja das selbe Prinzip ist.

Zumindest mit Hosteurope habe ich da im vergangenen Herbst mal längliche Korrespondenz geführt. Ergebnis war, dass weder sodium noch ext-sodium oder gar lib-sodium auf den im Herbst aktuellen Webpacks sowie den Webserver-Pakten mit aktuellen PHP-Versionen (e.g. 7.3 und 7.4) zur Verfügung steht und das wohl auch nicht kommen wird.

Ich sag's mal so: Das basiert auf der Summe gemachter Erfahrungen. Die sind ja nicht der einzige Hoster, die mit konsistenten PHP-Builds über Versionen hinweg so ihre Probleme haben. Da sind dann Dinge auf Nachfrage in 7.3 drin und in 7.4 wieder draussen, die in 7.2 selbstverständlich waren. Und nein, eigentlich bin ich nicht scharf darauf, einem Hoster zu erklären, weshalb bestimmte Konfigurationen sinnvoll sind - und trotzdem bleibt nur, die konstruktiv anzuschreiben, Argumente einzusammeln und Überzeugungsarbeit zu leisten. Mit Cyon klappt das ja auch.

Habe ich entfernt und dann nochmal für den Composer das Update ausgeführt. Das konnte bisher nicht abgeschlossen werden, da jedes Mal die Fehlermeldung mit "Composer Cloud" kam.

Komische Geschichte, mir hat er vor ein paar Stunden beim Update auf ~~4.11~~ 4.9.11 freiwillig lcobucci/jwt 4.0.1 installiert, ohne dass ich da irgendwelche Konflikte eingetragen hätte.

Brauchst du zwingend Contao 4.10? Lese das erst gerade nochmal, bei Contao 4.9 - siehe bei mir - will er das Paket gar nicht in Version 4.1.0 installieren sondern nimmt automatisch 4.0.1. Also was ich mal versuchen würde, eine komplette Neuinstallation von Contao 4.9. Dazu brauchst du kein sodium, somit könnte das klappen. Falls du dann wirklich Contao 4.10 brauchst, könnte man immer noch ein Update versuchen und schauen ob es wieder zu dem selben Fehler kommt.

Edit: Irgendwie scheint ja deine Installation nicht im besten Zustand zu sein, siehe z.B. die ganzen "manuell hinzugefügten" Pakete, deswegen der Ansatz nochmal neu zu starten und erst mal was zu versuchen, was das sodium nicht braucht und nötigenfalls dann darauf aufzubauen.

Super! Wobei ich ehrlich gesagt noch viel weniger Ahnung als Spooky habe, warum das mit dem Konflikt-Eintrag nicht geklappt hat. Vielleicht ist letztlich ein anderes Paket verantwortlich, welches seinerseits wiederum explizit lcobuccy/jwt in Version "^4.1" verlangt. Kann man natürlich letztlich mit Composer alles herausbekommen, also z.B. warum das Paket in dieser Version installiert werden soll, warum ältere Versionen möglicherweise nicht reichen.

Nächste Woche wird eine neue Version des Contao Managers veröffentlicht, mit Anbindung an die neue Cloud, evt. ist das dann behoben.

ERROR 403 - HTTP-Anfrage für "DELETE api/task" fehlgeschlagen

Wegen der vielen Nachfragen im Forum zu "ERROR 403 - HTTP-Anfrage für "DELETE api/task" fehlgeschlagen" auch noch meine Erfahrung dazu: Ich hing ebenfalls in der 403-Schleife und hatte mal eine weiße Seite bei Aufruf des Installtools/Backends, mal konnte ich im CM gar kein Composer-Update durchführen, da es nicht angezeigt wurde. Ich bin von Contao 4.4 auf 4.9.

Der Ursprungsfehler war offenbar ein schluderig eingegebenes Datenbank-Passwort, das durch den Firefox-Cache nicht mehr verschwunden ist. Erst über Safari bin ich weitergekommen. Letztlich hat nur eine komplette Neuinstallation geholfen. Und auch bei der ellenlangen Liste bzgl. Datenbank-Update (viele drop index und create) half ein beherztes schrittweises Zustimmen.
