Google Maps is not visible - console does not report any error

Hi everybody,

Contao (3.5.16) is running on localhost. When I first used Google Maps I got an error message when I loaded the page and an error message in console that says I should get api-key. I got api-key and added it in the first page in structure (there is the field where you can add api-key).

After that when I load the page I get purple, or something, quadrat and there is no error messages in the console. When I move the cursor over the quadrat I get the same hand-like cursor that I get when I move the cursor over the google maps. You can see the appearance on the image:

Does anybody know what could be wrong with this? Why gm doesn't show?

First thanks. But I googled a lot and I had found that link already. I did everything it says, bug unfortunately that is not solution for my problem. That is where guys need to get an api-key. I already have the api-key.

And anyway if I do as they explained changing "templates/tao/rsce_tao_info_map.html5", I still have the error message on page loading and in the console. Only if I enter the api-key in the field in the first page in the structure, I don't have error messages, but anyway, I don't see gm.

Contao's currently running on localhost. Maybe in the future it'll be online.

You have errors at the bottom of your page, probably related to the search index. Update to Contao 3.5.19 and update also the [visitors] or [cookiebar] Extension, if you use it.

Thanks for the advice. I've seen these errors. Unfortunatelly, currently I have to work on c. 3.5.16. version.

Since that error causes invalid HTML, your issues with Google Maps might be related to that. I can't find any other issue on your site otherwise. You should update to Contao 3.5.19 first. Or wait until Monday for Contao 3.5.20.

After having a quick look into the instalation, there are several problems - a poorly configured web host plus the attempt of displaying MetaModels items with improper settings and/or extensions. You've got mail.
