Erweiterung contao-randomarcticle mit Contao 4.7.1. -> imagick.so-Problem

Ich würde gerne die Erweiterung randomarticle (https://github.com/intelligentspark/...-randomarticle) mit meiner Contao Installation 4.7.1 nutzen.

Beim Versuch die Erweiterung über den Contao Manager zu installieren, bekomme ich diese Meldung:

Mit der imagick.so habe ich zu Projektbeginn schon mal beim Contao Managers Probleme gehabt.
Das Projekt ist bei Mittwald gehostet und wurde von Mittwald initial installiert.
Auf Nachfrage hat Mittwald damals einen Patch installiert. Dannach lief der Contao Manager.

Die Erweiterung selbst ist ja noch nicht für Version 4.7.1 freigegeben. Ich dachte, ich versuch es trotzdem mal...

Wie gehe ich denn jetzt am besten weiter vor? Wen kann ich wo wie fragen, ob die Erweiterung zeitnah ein Update kriegt?
Oder geht es vielleicht, wenn diese imagick.so-Geschichte gefixt ist?

Bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar.

Mit der imagick.so hat dein Problem jetzt nichts direkt zu tun. Nichts desto trotz solltest du das vom Hoster beheben lassen.

Zu deinem Problem: markiere alle Pakete zum Update und führe das Update durch.

Ja, schon klar - aber laut deiner Ausgabe hast du nicht alle Pakete zum Update markiert. Hast du das nun versucht und durchgeführt? Wenn ja, was war die Konsolen Ausgabe davon?

Eigentlich auf die 4.4 LTS. Ich dachte ich hätte 4.4.* eingegeben. Die genaue Version wusste ich gar nicht.

Zu der imagick.so-Geschichte kam übrigens auch noch eine Antwort vom Provider:

Das Modul Imagick ist unter PHP-fpm leider nicht kompatibel.
Sie können folgende Zeile in Ihrer php.ini auskommentieren damit der Fehler nicht mehr angezeigt wird:
extension=imagick.so

Ist Imagick für Ihre Installation notwendig können Sie Ihre PHP Version auf CGI umstellen.
Unter PHP-CGI ist Imagick lauffähig.

Was meint ihr? Auskommentieren? Website scheint bis dato ohne imagick zu laufen. Wofür wird das gebraucht?
Oder auf PHP CGI umstellen?

Imagick oder Gmagick ist auf jeden Fall der regulären GD lib vorzuziehen.

Ich würde den Hoster wechseln. Kann doch nicht sein, dass Mittwald dieses Problem immer noch nicht beheben konnte.
