Juhu,

ich versuche eine installation von 4.4 auf 4.8 upzudaten. Kann man das direkt machen, oder doch eher Schritt für Schritt? Also auf 4.5 dann auf 4.6, 4.7 etc.?

Leider bekomme ich immer eine Fehlermeldung:

Das Update kannst Du direkt machen. Markiere dafür alle (!) Pakete im Contao Manager zum Update und führe anschließend eine vollständige Paketaktualisierung durch.

habe hier gerade mitgelesen - aber keinen aktuellen Fall dazu - aber rein aus Interesse:

wenn ich in einer 4.4.xx Version im CM über den Button 'Pakete aktualisieren' alle Pakete auswähle, wo habe ich dann die Möglichkeit 4.8 auszuwählen? Mit dieser Art, also 'alle markieren' update ich doch nur die Version in sich, also 4.4 ... oder übersehe ich hier etwas?

Die gewünschte Version musst Du im ersten Eingabefeld (welches Du über das Zahnradsymbol aktivierst) selbst eintragen.

Ja, das ist die Originale. Im CM habe dann 4.8.x gesetzt ...

Du musst Contao Open Source CMS auf 4.8.* setzen und alle Pakete zum Update markieren. Dann die Aktualisierung durchführen.

Hoster ionos. Habe von PHP 7.1 auf PHP 7.3 umgestellt.
Habe jetzt mal die composer.lock entfernt und über den CM das Update auf die 4.8.x erneut ausgeführt - noch ohne Datenbank Update.

Der CM sagt mit jetzt:

Nein, du bist in diesen seltsamen Fehler gelaufen, wo Dinge doppelt installiert werden in den jeweiligen Paketen. einmal in src/ und einmal in src/src/.

Lösche den gesamten vendor/ Ordner und führe ein composer install aus. Ggf. musst du auch den Inhalt von system/modules/ löschen (Vorsicht: keine manuell installierten Contao 3 Extensions löschen).

Habe jetzt die bisherige 4.4.46 von meiner lokalen Inst. wieder online gestellt.
Scheue mich jetzt vor dem erneuten Update auf die 4.8.x.

Wie kann es zum obigen Fehler kommen - kann ich das zuvor irgendwie checken?

beim Testlauf über den CM scheint jetzt alles OK zu sein. Werde es heute Abend mal probieren ...

Nach dem Update auf die 4.8.x müßte ich deren .htaccess manuell aktualisieren - Korrekt?

Kann es mit meiner vorherigen Umstellung von PHP 7.1 auf 7.3 zu haben?
Der CM hatte die neue CLI Version korrekt erkannt.
Hätte ich evtl. die "alte" composer.lock zuvor entfernen müssen?
