ALte 3.5.12 bei Strato auf 3540 aktualisieren und dann weiter

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe mal wieder ein lästiges Problem.

Ich soll bei Strato eine alte 3.5.12 aktualisieren.
Allein das Update auf 3.5.40 ist schon am Speicher gescheitert:

Derzeit erhalten Sie bereits 283 MB, obwohl gemäß den PHP 7.3 Einstellungen nur maximal 256 MB zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Also dachte ich ziehe mir das System lokal und update dort.

Vielleicht weil ich aber lokal php7.4 und ein mysql Ver 8.0.22 for osx10.15 on x86_64 (Homebrew) habe, meckert das installtool jetzt

Du musst eine niedrigere MySQL Version nutzen. Contao 3 ist glaube ich nicht mit MySQL 8+ kompatibel.

Ist es denn so wichtig, erst auf 3.5.40 zu gehen, wenn du ohnehin weiter auf 4.x willst? Du nutzt von der alten Installation ja nur die DB, und die ändert sich strukturell beim Schritt auf 3.5.40 nicht wesentlich.

Es ist wichtig zuerst auf Contao 3.5.40 zu aktualisieren, da es tatsächlich wesentliche Datenbank Änderungen gibt.

Du musst sicherstellen, dass du das automatische Update der composer.phar in den Einstellungen der Paketverwaltung deaktiviert hast - und du musst evt. manuell die composer/composer.phar mit dieser hier ersetzen.

Das Problem wird eher sein, dass du direkt in der Hosting Umgebung nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung hast. Du könntest stattdessen das composer update lokal ausführen, dann die composer/composer.json und composer/composer.lock auf den Server kopieren und dort dann wiederum composer install ausführen.

Das Problem in deiner lokalen Entwicklungsumgebung war ja der SQL Server. Für das Composer Update ist das aber egal.

Achso, hier geht es ja um Contao 3. Du musst in der Composer Paketverwaltung einstellen, dass Composer nicht automatisch aktualisiert wird. Und danach musst du Composer 1.x von hier runterladen und die bestehende composer/composer.phar damit ersetzen.

Habe die composer.phar 1.10.21 heruntergeladen und den Haken bei auutomatisch aktualisieren rausgenommen.

Jetzt bekomme ich folgende Meldung nach klick auf "Test":

und habe einfach mal auf 5G erhöht.

Lösche mal den Ordner composer/vendor/contao-community-alliance/composer-plugin und versuche es nochmal.

Notfalls würde ich das Update auf 3.5.40 einfach manuell machen und bei der Gelegenheit composer entfernen. Deine installierten Erweiterungen sind dann halt nicht wieder automatisch in der alten Erweiterungsverwaltung, sondern einfach alle manuell installiert (system/modules/...) Aber das ist ja egal, weil das spätestens beim Update auf Contao 4 sowieso passiert, wenn es für eine Erweiterung keine Contao 4 Version gibt. Wo es eine Version von Contao 4 gibt, musst du die dann im Contao-Manager installieren und dann eben nicht in system/modules der Contao 4 Installation übernehmen. Wo es keine gibt, die alte Version in die neue Installation unter system/modules übernehmen. Wo das dann knallt, muss die alte Erweiterung eben durch eine andere ersetzt werden, da führt eh kein Weg vorbei.

wie würde ich da vorgehen?

Die Erweiterung sind nicht so wichtig, ist nur google map und mobile menu, das kannich nachinstallieren, hauptsache ich ich kriege das cms erstmal auf 3.5.40.

Was dort als zu sichernde Dateien/Verzeichnisse aufgelistet ist + system/modules und eventuell /composer würde ich einfach in ein komplett frisches (aus heruntergeladenem Archiv erstellt) Contao 3.5.40 reinkopieren. SQL-Dump der Datenbank in eine neue Datenbank importieren, Datenbankzugangsdaten in der localconfig.php anpassen und dann das Installtool aufrufen.

Hast du denn schon auf Contao 3.5.12 aktualisiert? Das übernimmt nicht die Composer Paketverwaltung für dich. Das musst du entweder manuell machen, über die Live-Update Funktion, oder über Extensions wie easyupdate3

3.5 ist wirklich zu lange her ...

Ich habe immer drauf gewartet das die Version über composer aktualisiert wird.

Also frische Installation von 3.5 und dann files, template, Databank reinkopieren, oder?
