Calendar links and custom nav.

Hi all,

Any ideas on how to filter a global calendar by it's sub calendars for a given day? I guess I want to create a custom nav. but have got no idea how to call the day/month that has been selected on the global calendar in the hyperlink.

For example a global (mini) calendar consists of calendars A B C D and displays the events as one event list when you click any calendar day (?day=20110707). I want to create a link for calendars A B C D that keeps the given day (?day=20110707), therefore "filters" the results and displays that day's (?day=20110707) events for that calendar in an event list.

I can't believe it's that hard, I'm just a beginner where php is concerned. Or is this where an extension needs to be built?!
