Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Hi tecnomaster,
I have to admit that I don't really understand these two sentences:
Quote:
The problem is when I rename the file server. Just home from my site but is no internal page.
?
Does that mean that you had TL in a subdirectory on your local server and that on the webserver it's directly in the root folder or in differently named subfolder ? Then you have to adjust the RewriteBase in your .htaccess file.
cheers

Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Hi Antipitch,
Excuse the mistakes but I do not speak English and I use a translator :D
I have built my site on my local PC with WAMP server. I do not have clean URLs enabled in local mode.
When uploading files to my server on the internet everything works fine but when I enable clean URLs throughout the site stops working.
That always happens and I do not know what the problem is.
Thank you
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Rename ._htaccess to .htaccess and make sure that mod_rewrite is enabled and apache reads .htaccess files (you need hosting plan that supports these features).
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Yes, when I enable clean URLs also rename the file to _htaccess. htaccess but it does not work.
To return to see the site running I delete the file. Htaccess just rename and disable clean URLs.
The most strange is that I always happens, is not an installation that presents the problem. Everything I do in the local site and then upload to the server but this feature does not work if you work directly on the Internet server, everything works correctly.
I do not understand happens ...
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Ok, so don't enable friendly urls, just rename ._htaccess to .htaccess. Does your site work in this case?

In this case the site continues to operate unless all the flash files. But not to activate the URL from the administration remains the same.
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Is mod_rewrite activated on your server? If not, it won' work.

This active
If I do a clean installation of the server typolight everything works properly.
The only problem is when I import a web site done on my local server.
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Did you use the install tool after moving the site? Maybe the websitePath variable is set incorrectly? Check this variable in the backend -> settings or localconfig.php .

Do not use the installation tool. The website is uploaded manually and import the database from phpmyadmin.
Entire site works well unless the clean URL.
I reviewed the parameters of localconfig and everything is correct.
I think something is wrong with the file .htaccess
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Just run the Installation Tool. This should reset some parameters.

Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Any error messages? Did you check the Apache's log files?

The error is 404, it can not find the page requested
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
Well, mod_rewrite does not work. Is the .htaccess file up-to-date and correctly spelled (watch the dot before htaccess!)?

I have installed on the same server multiple facilities clean url typolight and work perfectly.
The only difference is that the facilities were operating properly with version 2.6 and were made directly on the server.
The problem is with version 2.7 and when I moved the site from localhost to the main server.
Re: Problem with Clean URLs
The description still leads me to thinking that either the rewrite rule is not applied, or the websitepath is not set correctly, or both. I cannot help you anymore. Maybe you can contact your hoster – he might help.
