Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
It's all on the server. I've compared it to the doc shown on the page -How to install typolight-. It's all there.
But the link www.misscosmic.com/typolight/install.php gives a 404 error.
A frustrating start... for what promises to be an easy CMS..
No clue what to do..
Insight very appreciated!
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
The message means that the file is not found on the server.
You might want to use the System Check Tool to verify that all files were successfully uploaded, and the settings of the server are OK.
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
I just did a wild try because of your other post, and it seems you uploaded the files to a subdirectory "typolight" instead to your main web folder.
See yourself:

I recommend to wipe the subdirectory and upload the files to one directory level higher.
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
thanks for your very quick responds.
I did the test.
One thing came up:
filesize:
• 2M Recommended setting is 8M or greater.
See what is to do about that.
I find 8M for a file very big. In general files on websites are so much smaller with the exception of video but than still 8M..
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
That should not be an issue, you will just not be able to upload files larger than 2 MB through the file manager. However you can still upload it by FTP if need arises.
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
wauw!
acenes how smart you saw this!
But you mean you recommend I put all the php files from the sub-typolight in the typolight a level higher.
If so why did they put a typolight folder in the typolight folder in the first place?
Re: Installation: typolight/install.php: 404 not found...
(sorry for this seperate reply..)
So what you mean is I should just put all the files and folders from the unzipped folder straight in the public_html folder..?

Yes exactly, that is the most straight and easy setup.
