Unable to save changes on one computer. Cookies??
I wonder....
One of my clients is unable to save changes in backend on just one computer.
could this have something to do with cookies?
There is no notification or nothing. When changes are made and client presses save, or save and leave it just does this as you would expect, only changes are not saved.
Re: Unable to save changes on one computer. Cookies??
I would think something else happens. Normally the form is submitted and the post data processed by the server that returns the next page. Everything I just said happens except saving, so the server does receive something?
Can you try if this happens with a different browser as well? Does it also happen with an administrator account? Can you verify the client has the exact same problem in the online demo?
If yes to all of the above then I have no more idea what it could be.
Re: Unable to save changes on one computer. Cookies??
Did some testing.
Clients computer cannot change backend in explorer
Cleints computer can change backend in chrome
clients collegea computer can change backend in explorer
clients computer can make changes in backend on a copy on my server in explorer.
So it seems a hosting matter.
But it is a mystery to me how this can only afflect one computer. Of the 10 computers I tested with.
She has a day off today, I will ask her to try and change in an administrator account.

What explorer version? Please clear all (related) browsing data. Cookies and everything else that is cached.

It all came down to a setting in php.
The "session.cache_limiter" was set to "private" in stead of "nocache". Why the * the "wiseman" changed this ...:?
