I was wondering what the status is? Kind of confusing because the page says that it's only good for 2.6 - 2.6.3, but last update was 7/14/2009.

yeah, I just haven't had a chance to update all the modules to be 2.7 compatible. You can use the FormAuto module with great success, by attaching a form to the event reading and using the article's date mechanism to prevent booking. I'm just swamped with work, otherwise I'd update the Template to work with 2.7. Its a simple change, I just don't have to time to do and test it.
I've updated all the modules to use the new BackendTemplate so they should all work now for FormAuto and Calendar Events Attend, which have new versions now. There are really minor changes needed in the Back End (using some half-width controls and groupings) but these are purely cosmetic.

Nope. 95% of the functionality is provided by FormAuto anyway. The Events Attend is a tag-on module to control the dates. You can manually add a form to capture the event details anyway.
I've already got a replacement for both FormAuto and Events Attend up and running (for another project), but it needs some more work, and since development isn't my primary thing, it will take some time..
