Formauto with Activation

Hi Contao-Friends,
I´ve already posted something on the german forum and realized that this extension is thyons. So I guess it makes sense to ask my question here too:

Basically, I want to create some sort of voting form where people can choose between 6 different items. All a user needs to fill out is a Select Field and a Text Field with an email-address.
Formauto is perfect to assure that each email-address can only be used once.
The problem is that there´s no way to confirm that it´s a real-email-address?
There´s a modul efg_activationlink with which you can create forms with double opt-in but it doesn´t quite work with autoform.
Does anyone know how I can solve this?

quickpoll hasn't been updated in ages and I don't have the time to update to a much better version, so andreas and co. created simple poll...
