Custon extension :: Backend :: Child tabs

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows any example or has any experience with my idea.

Let say we have custom backend extensions where you create / enter items (parents/childs), some kind of product manager.

When you click on "add new item" you get to basic info about product (name, description, image, ....) - inputs. Above that you have different tabs. This would be called General info, then Price, Quantity, ...

So my idea is to create "dca mask" where you have tabs and every tab contains different inputs.
