Importing news and events AFTER update from Contao 2 to 3

Hi,

when you upgrade a site from Contao 2 to 3 the news and events are converted into the Contao 3 style (using content elements). This is great for straight upgrades.

However, I need to import news and events from a Contao 2 site into a new Contao 3 site (started fresh instead of an upgrade). Is there any way of doing this without having to write a custom import process?

Yes, you can import it directly into the database of course :)

But you'll need to modify "tl_news" and "tl_content" and set relations accordingly.
I believe you're better of with a small script that does this for you (or let a developer write you a e.g. CSV news importer that exactly fits your needs).
