Live update error

I'm trying to use live update on a couple of my websites hosted locally.

the system is just hanging when I press update. I have checked int he Contao folder and the update.phar.php looks corrupt. See attached image

Anyone have any ideas?

No, the file isn't corrupt. It is a binary file. Therefore, it looks like that.

Must be something else then. Will keep looking into it.

I'm still not able to update my websites.

I get the the update section and the hit this page: contao/update.phar.php/index.php

It just has a couple of question marks on. and all I can do is go back in my browser.

anyone know a solution to this?
