showing a single thumb preview - not random -

I have a small question again on the gallery extension.

In the gallery list module you can choose wheter to 'show thumbnail previews'
If you only check this box, alle the photo's in the gallery will show up as thumbs.
Entering a value for results per page does not change this.(what is results per page for then?)

To have only one thumb per galley I can check 'only show a random image'.
But.....
I would like to choose the thumbnail preview.

Is this possible?

I do get one thumbnail for the gallery list.

But then i also only get one thumbnail per row in the galleryviewer, whereas i want 3 thumbnails per row in the viewer.

Is there no way to select this seperately?

in the template where you use the gallery_list.tpl, simply ignore 2 and 3 and only write out the first image. You will have to be skilled in the way you do this.

Well.... I don't think I am skilled enough to do this.
don't quite understand what you mean. I am not a strong php'er, that's probably why.

Pity there's no quick fix. Guess I will have to work around it.

The new gallery supports a poster image, which you can use to identify the gallery with. The poster image can now also be used as an only picture, so the gallery is optional. This make single image cataloging possible.
