Back-end for filtering

I love this extension and I'm using it for my new website, but I've run into a severe problem which I think cripples this valuable extension.

There is no way in my News in the back-end to filter based on a specific tag. This makes it pretty useless for updating my own content. Currently I've noticed that certain records have lost their tags, which is disturbing enough, so I wanted to list those without any tags, to fix it, but this is not possible, I have to multiple edit or something to ensure that they all have tags.

Also, the DB doesn't store the tags, which would be beneficial as well, since then you can use that in the DCA to filter or at least search on.
