Update from 2.11.17 to 3.2.20 ... where are the images ?

Hi all,

I have just updated a website from 2.11.17 to 3.2.20.
I have change tl_files to files
I have passed the script from leo

Everything works well after some little adjustments but I have lost all the images in articles and in news.
The site is based on images ! ... :-(

I have read that the extension [wp_uuid_creator] could help me, but it didn't.

What could I do to recover all the links ?

I just hope you made a backup before you started with the update ?!

Could it be, that you need to synchronize the pictures in the File-Manager?

This is how you should do an update from 2.11.17:

• Make sure your server fulfils the minimum requirements (use the Contao Check for instance)
• Create a complete backup (complete installation + database)
• Execute the actual update, either via Live-Update, the easyUpdate extension or manually. Manual updating includes:
  • Updating all files of the existing installation with the ones from the newest version
  • Deleting any files that are not present in the newest version - except
    • files/*
    • system/config/dcaconfig.php
    • system/config/initconfig.php
    • system/config/langconfig.php
    • system/config/localconfig.php
    • templates/*
    • any (Contao 3.2 compatible) extensions in system/modules
    • any additional files and folders that may have come with extensions
  • Opening the Install Tool (contao/install.php) and letting it process the update
• Do not rename the folder tl_files to files. If you want to do that, follow these steps:
  • Finish the update to Contao 3.2 first and make sure that your files are still present, assigned to each content element etc. and selectable in the backend in general
  • Rename the folder to files via the backend settings
  • Execute this script: https://gist.github.com/leofeyer/3304014 (i.e. download this script, fill in your database settings, upload it to your website root and open it in your browser)
  • Rename the folder to files via FTP
  • Then make sure again, that everything regarding files is working
  • Check if your extensions need to be updated or are compatible with Contao 3(.2) at all
