Mini Calendar Forward and Back target URL

I'm looking at changing the target url and then the events displayed of the forward and back on the mini calendar:

"<- | January | ->"

so for example when you click the next arrow you get all the events for February shown in the events list,

but what I'd like to do is to only show the events for February 1st, not the whole month, instead.

Is there any way to change this?
