Where to set API key?

this may sound a dumb question but I've been searching for 10 minutes where to put the API Key.

in the extension page it reads "Store this key in the root page of the chosen website."

In Layout > Site Structure I can't click on the website root :|

what am I doing wrong??

Hi JTO,
make a new Page and set it to "Startpoint of a new Website" there you can set the key and the fallbacklanguage!
Than copy all pages in that Startpoint!
Now you are ready to play with TL ;-)

You can look at demo.typolight.org there you can look in the backend what it must look like.

now I see where to put the api key: I didn't get an typoilight website needs a website root inside the main root

Yep, I was in the same situation with my 1st site. I'm sure this will be covered in the new User Guides.

Problem is at the moment, you only realise you need this structure once you come to implement the Googlemaps extension, probably some others as well.

At least the way TL handles site structure it's easy to move everything inside your new root.

Excuse me for sounding stupid but I still can't work out where the api key can be written. I have a root page obviously but cannot find a field that appears suitable. Help welcomed :)

Just to say the latest version DOES NOT REQUIRE an api key, the module doesn't generate this field anymore as Google do not require it for the V3 API.

I think MacKP is absolutly correct.

Hmm I was right, but at the new version you don't need an api-Key. The version now use the new way of google. And there you don't need it ;-)
