Conflict when tag page and rss archive have identical names

I love this extension. I never thought I'd ever use tags. Well to categorise news without multiple archives (which is a real pain), this is the best!

Anyways, here is the problem. I'm sure this is probably a server config problem or a Contao htaccess, but when I click on the tag filter on the News List page (were it shows the news items in a list) I get the following error (at Apache level).

Not Found
The requested URL /blog.xml/tag/design.html was not found on this server.

Note that I do have the RSS archive the same name as the page, e.g. blog.html and blog.xml. I will change this, but thought I needed to understand why this is happening, or if this is actually a Contao bug!

Disable apache's Multiviews, this is no contao issue:

I disagree. Since it will most likely occur that you will name your page and your rss file with identical names, this is a CMS level problem, since the CMS won't work. Sure, I understand you have to add this to the htaccess, but then leo can just add this anyways, like he's added many, many things to the default htaccess over the years.
