i cant figure out how to use the ftp program to sync the files - i tried to do it as it shows in the 'manual', but it did not update the version number in the backend,...

its probably a good idea to clear all the cache before any upgrade? do i have to rebuild the search index after every purge also?

when the system asked me to create a new root page, i created it and moved all the pages back into it, but then the homepage dissapeared... then had to assing a layout to it, in the same structure...

if anyone has a similar issue, then you prolly just need to remove the password and enc.key line and enter typolight as password, and then enter the install.php address again after each step

ok that went quite well after i also re-did the whole structure, but after i replaced 2.11.17 files with 3.0.0 files i got this error on update step3:

i deleted the line, but now it only keeps asking me for a password in a loop when i enter "typolight". when i enter something else, it will say "invalid password"...

i'm trying to test a local 2.6 to 2.9 upgrade, but get stuck in the install tool where the "update database" button either keeps loading or stops with a blank page...
