    Default Procedure for Eventsattendance Extension

    Hello,

I am using typolight 2.7.2 and I have installed the extension "Eventsattendance" ignoring the wrning "Not approved for calendar_eventsattend 1.0.7 stable". Please guide me the steps to take while implementing the same.

    Regards,
    Pawan

    Hello,

    Please go through http://dev.typolight.org/wiki/ExtensionsEventsattend.

The procedure described here and when we follow it can not proceed since the "Event Type" is not present while creating New Event in Calender Archive

You most likely forgot to UPDATE the DATABASE after installing the extensions...

I updated the database as it is part of procedure. The link you provided me has given Event Type in it. If you create Calender Archive and while creating the new event you can't see the EVENT TYPE there. Please help out in removing

Well first you have to create an Event Archive -- a container for a group of events.

THEN, you add an edit INSIDE this archive container. There you will see the new event type.

well as per you said I uninstall the Extension and again installed the same.

Now to create Event Archive that means going to

Events under Content and there creating new Calender

is it the same procedure ?

Please take a look at the new updated instructions. I've updated BOTH the wiki and the module to have its own registration group heading. The wiki was old (I never updated it), as now we use a checkbox to "add" registration to the event instead (the event type was phased out quite some time ago).

In the Front-End set-up the Events as usual, with a Events List Module, optional Events Calendar Module and then INSTEAD of the Event Reader Module, use the Events Attendance Module (which will do the reader + booking form).

    Hello Thyon,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

The extension is displayed and working fine. No issues.

I just have a simple query that in Event Registration I have Enabled Show Free places remaining and added a Show Free Headline as "free place remaining".

Now my query is where to give maximum number of places so it will show the free places remaining ..

    Regards,
    Pawan

I love to grill newbies, when they haven't done their homework!!!!!!

You obviously realize that the FormAuto extension is where all the magic happens, so its up to you to add that into the FormAuto. Please carefully read the FormAuto manual, as its a very complex module to set-up a form correctly with automated DB-storage, filter/unique/count validations and confirmation e-mails.

You will need to change the form to an Automatic Form and then set-up the count validation to see free seats.
