JPEGs stay black?

Dear all,

I'm using TL since 2008 to manage my website contents and never got into real trouble - until now:

Earlier uploaded bitmaps in generic JPEG format which automatically were converted into little thumbs won't show up on the website anymore. I've tried re-uploading them but nothing changed. Even the preview inside TL workflow shows the same:
THE BITMAP IS BLACK :?

The size remains original, position and even file size, too. What is very special in this matter: I've taken a closer look at the thumbs created by TL (I downloaded them via ftp from the html folder) - and: they all were black.

This hasn't been any problem until a few days ago.

Any wisdom would be appreciated!

I have had this issue a few years ago. It is most likely an incompatibility between your PHP version, the GDlib version and the OS kernel version. Ask your provider which components he changed and tell him about the mismatch.
