Edit News Comments Form

is there a way using the news comments or the stand alone comments module that i can change the required fields so that users have to be logged in and when they post it uses their user name as the name and does not require them to fill in name and e-mail address.

In News, there's an option for "Require login to comment" .

If you wanted to use the comments module, you can also protect the module (and any module I believe) by choosing "protect module"

With some php work I'm sure you can then pass the user's name and email address to these fields.

I know about protecting modules but i dont know php so im stuck there. lol.
