Default Translation of Developer's Guide and User's Guide

    Hi.

Recently, I'm translating Developer's guide into Japanese to learn Contao using Google Trasnlater's toolkit.

I want to publish my work on my web site after complete translation.
But both Developer's Guide and User's Guide are published under Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 license and "Derivative works" includes translated documents, AFAIU.
So I must get permission from the author to publish.

Is my understanding correct? And who or where I ask the permission?

I plan to publish translated documents as "translated documents" on my personal web site, http://www.contaocms.jp/.

    Best regards.

    Thanks, Nina.

It might be better something written about translation of site's documents.

    Best regards.

I don't think that "derivative works" include translations, however I am not sure. Anyway, you are allowed to publish the Japanese translation

    Thanks much.

BTW, what is the better way to track changes in these pages?

When Creative Commons's ND(No Derives) is interpreted by Japanese copyright law, "Derives" includes translation. I've timely found an article which describes Creative Commons on a web related magazine.

    Best regards.

Finally, I released the Japanese translatino of Contao Open Source CMS Developer's Guide as http://www.contaocms.jp/developers-guide.html.

I don't have strict plan for User's Guide, but do you allowed me to translate it Japanese?
