Contao Quickguide (in English)

I have been tinkering with this for a while so I figured I'd get it out there for everyone:

Covers the basics as well as some minor things in Isotope and Catalog... Not a complete manual but enough to give to a client and get them editing.

I am building this in InDesign and am happy to share the files with anyone who wants them. I keep it modular so that I can pick and choose which sections I want to drop in for a particular client. My goal is to build this out as much as possible to have a complete library of guides to assemble for clients, so anyone willing to pitch in with any other quick tutorials is most welcome... Enjoy!

Great work! Looks good. Should a general manual for Contao include Catalog and Isotope?

I've done the same in Dutch 2 years ago. I cannot publish it because it is owned by the company. But I do know how much work goes into this.

I think it's great to include these extension in the manual. At the end of the day if they are not relevant to your client than you can remove them.

I also think including extensions included in the manual can can help you sell "upgrades" to the client at a future date.

Nice start to a great guide! Would it be okay if I were to re-write this as strictly a text-PDF file? I want to be able to easily edit/section off the guide as needed for my company's projects. (don't have indesign

)

You can feel free to do whatever you want with it! :D

I think you can do an export from Acrobat to Word if you have the professional edition.

All I ask is that if you improve/add that you please post back to community. I'm going to add what I can and post back to this topic as well as post to contao-factory.com.

We're getting there!

Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this guide together. This will give my clients (and others who I try to persuade to use Contao) a great starting point (in english, woo!) to use Contao.
