recurring events - add holidays or skip certain weeks?

My current website I'm working on is a school's website. Some classes for example would recur 8 times. But with 2 weeks off. I cannot figure out how to skip these 2 weeks D: is it possible to do so? Or will I need to break the events into 2 separate events?

I know this is an old post, but I have the same questions you posted. I can see nobody posted a reply, so my question to you is... Did you come up with an answer yourself?
