Custom template not working with insert tags

Hello,

Any on know what my problem is?
I made a custom template for a 4 column design. But when i am adding a link using insert tags or without insert tag via article it does not work.

I tested the following:
i changed via site structure op the page ==> the page layout to default(template) and then it works

Any one know what my problem is?

got the solution:

I did not define the left and right column width in my 4 column design.

I not sure why this is the solution, but it works. :D :D

if you are using Contao 2.11.x you have to clear the system/tmp directory (Backend -> Maintenance) after you modified the templates
