    Default Date display in catalog

    Hello,

I've set up catalog items with two date fields. However, dates are output as a time stamp, e.g. "1363478400" in the front end.

I also want the date visible in the backend list view, and I've ticked the appropriate box. However, list only shows an extra comma, as if the field was blank.

Then, in the backend I would like the items ordered by date only. I've set this as the only sort option. However, the dates display here again as a time stamp (in <div class="tl_header">).

Finally, I'd love the items to be grouped by month under one header, e.g. all items that have a date in May 2013, for example, would display under the header 'May 2013'. How can I best realise this?

    Many thanks for any help.

For displaying the Date you must enter a custom format function (like Date and then Y-m-d ore something else).
Maybe this helps also with the Backend view.

Group it by Month would help for grouping Problems i think ;-)

The date format, and backend grouping was an easy thing it seems. Thank you (apologies, I'm still trying to find my way around). But thank you very much for pointing this out to me.
