Error

I got a friendly welcome from Cantao which on my url/contao/ page - which I presume is some kind of login page - this welcome message read:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in url [ ... ] /index.php on line 106


Can anybody tell me why this has happened?

What did you do before: Is this a new installation and are you trying to log into the back_end for the first time?

I think this is a different error, you are trying to run the install script.

Line 82 of the install scripts stores the FTP login credentials. If the files are not writeable, the Safe Mode Hack may be required. Check the section in the manual on the Safe Mode Hack and file permissions.

The check tool may also be handy.This tool will check whether you have to use the Safe Mode Hack or not.

I think Lostrisq is using PHP 5.2.x instead of 5.3.2+
