How do I change the News Archive List as drop down menu

Hi,

I am using Contao 2.11 for the site http://newsfromnadia.com. I am using news archive menu on the left of News. Example as follows:

http://newsfromnadia.com/index.php/news ... tipur.html

Now as it going to be long list, I want a drop down News Archive menu where user will select Month & Year and get list of News. Can anybody suggest how can I do that? I don't think there is any extension on this.

I suggest you to:

- show years
- hide months
- when a year is clicked the months of that year will show up

I did something similar on this site http://bit.ly/11gZefh using javascript.
