    Default Change of the forum software and forum owner

    We have changed the forum software and imported as much of the old data as possible. The forum is now owned by the Contao association.

    Because of this change, all registered users need to request a new password. You can request your password here: Request your password

    If you are a registered user but don't remember your email address, please contact the forum admin.

    I like it!

    Thx a lot, finaly same look and feel as in the german Community

    I just miss the Editor when writing a post. I made a Info post how to switch it on, but could not finde it anymore (to include link here).
    It looks like that there is some customising needet

    i found it again ... it seams that own posts need a while to get displayed (I remember a similar problem in the german forum).

    Default No official announcement on contao.org?

    I just know this change of international (English) community boards. Should it be announced on official site as news or I missing??

    International Community not seams to be 1st priority of LF.

    As far as I know there was an official mention on the Contao.org social channels (facebook/twitter).

    But on the other hand I don't really think we really need a "bigger" news about this because the forum URL is still the same

    Contao Check, install the /check/-folder in the root level of your webspace and open it in your browser with yourdomain.com/check/ - Click on the "Validate installation" link and see if all Contao files are available or if some are missing/corrupt.
    If files are missing/corrupt, download the Contao package (make sure, you choose the exact same version as your available installation). Scroll down on this
    Github Download-page to find the correct download-button for your version. Upload the original files and validate the installation again.

    changed from http to https

    I still get this error when i log in. I made a new user to test it and i got it too. The password is also not saved when i logg in (even if i mark it to save).

    I would like to have also the "say thanks" option and the links for the own topics as in the german forum.
    • Is there a problem with the BB code too? My picture is not showing as in the help mentioned ?!


    And i think it would not be too much to inform over the official channel and let international members know, that they are a part of the Community too. Some of them are doing a great job and keep several translations up do date that we have them present in every version. Without asking ... it is just there

    There where some troubles with the import from the old forum software. So, if members also get a hint what is to do to in this case they have it easier to.

    If German not would be my mother-tongue i guess, i would not see a big future for Contao from international point of view.

    Probably i kind of "Titanic - Project" just missing a "Iceberg" to sink it


    @Nina, i hope you not get it wrong ... just try to see it from the point of view of a international member.


    Btw. i'm more online in the forum then in Twitter ... and Facebook i dont use!

    Hm, I really wonder why that happens. I definitely use https://community.contao.org/en as base-url for the forums.
    Did you try it with another browser? Maybe your browser still uses the old settings (in the beginning there was an error in the forum cookiees).

    I'm sure you want to have them As soon as I have some sparetime, I'll add these features.

    Don't see a problem with linking normal images with [img] code. I suppose it didn't work for you because you linked an attachment.

    As it is now, the International Contao forum is available at https://community.contao.org/en and http://community.contao.org/en, respectively. Maybe we should consider redirecting the HTTP URI to the HTTPS variant, i.e. rewrite all requests for http://community.contao.org/en to https://community.contao.org/en (as it is done already in the German forum).

    I like the new forum, but I miss a lot the informations that where collected on the old one: I can still get them using Google cache but I wonder how long will them be available...
    Will it be possible to keep the read-only version of old forum somewhere, just for search purposes?

    Which informations are you missing? We imported all text from the old forum. It just may take some time until Google updates the old forum links and indexes the new ones here. Until than, feel free to use the "Advanced Search" here in the forums

    Thanks for the suggestion I activated the HTTP -> HTTPS redirection.
