Single document as News Redirect target

Hello,

Very often I have to add a News record that should point to a single .pdf file.

Right now I upload the file in the file manager and copy the file target location, and redirect the news record to an external url (the url of the file target location)

So while adding a new News record, at the "Redirect target" section a new parameter would be usefull named * Single file (see attached: example.jpg)
in order for me to directly upload the file for the News record.

Is there any way to add this feature in the backend?

Could you please make a feature request at https://github.com/contao/core/issues because this isn't a support case in my opinion?
