Glossary type thing?

Does anyone know of an easy way to do a glossary type thing in Contao? I am looking to have it be automated, like Drupal's Glossify, where it finds the word in the content of your site and replaces it with a link to the definition page. I would just do it manually, but there are so many modules on our very large school site that I can't make the text into a link manually (like catalog lists, member lists, calendar titles, anywhere the content goes into a field that is not a wysiwyg box, which is A LOT).
Anyone have any thoughts? The "Glossary" extension is not only too deprecated for our version, it also does not do what I want it to. Am I dreaming?

There is a development version of the glossary extension which you may find at https://github.com/psi-4ward/glossary, which works for me on a Contao 3.1.4 installation.
