    Default Product options not working on product details setup

    I have created a product type and have made some changes to the settings.

    the first thing I wanted to do was make the SKU field on the product not mandatory. I set this but it has had no effect.

    I also wanted to change the order of the fields listed when filling out the product, for example I wanted the product name to be above the alias and be the highltighed field and first thing the admin fills in when creating a new product. I moved the arrows to make this order change but it has had no effect.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Can you try if clearing the internal cache has an effect?

    Hi, I have just tried this and it is still the same.

    I purged everything in the maintenance section and it didn't make any difference.

    any other ideas?

    we have 'Bypass the internal cache' ticked as we are developing a module on this site. But currently if we untick it and try rebuilding the cache it causes an error in the cache config file. Probably due to the new module.

    so currently we are unable to rebuild the cache at the moment. Once we can I'll see if this changes it.

    If you are able to reproduce the issue on a blank installation (sorry, we have no online demo yet) you can file a bug report on GitHub
