    Default Referenced and related data

A feature I used a lot in the Catalog module was the calalog reference and catalog related feature.

with this you could create a list of services a business offered and then show staff from the staff catalog on the same page by relating it to the services catalog.

Is this possible in Metamodels? If so does anyone know how?

    Thanks
    Ben

I have found this which looks promising but doesn't work: http://de.contaowiki.org/MetaModels_...ferenced_items

Surely if this exists there is a template somewhere that someone has that works?

    Anyone?

    Hi Ben_360fusion,
as far as i know should this work with an second MM-List Element and an Filter for that (own SQL should do it) based on the Alias (or ID) from the Item on the Detail Page.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have tried that, I could get it to filter based on ID or alias but I would need to specify the exact alias or ID for a metamodel. This then doen't work across all items.

so if you imagin the film database as an example. I would like to show actors that are in a film, when you click on the actor I would like to have an actor profile page and then a list of films the actor is in. I don't want to create a new filter or module for each actor, just have one that know what 'this' metamodel ID is.

I need to to know what page/metamodel item is being displayed and then reference a 'this alias/ID'. I can't find a way to do that with SQL or metamodels. I'm not a developer so I#m not great in SQL.

I hope this explains it properly.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Sorry to answer a little bit… late ;-))
I've just had the same question and couldn't make the example work (no error but array() ).

Here is the solution proposed by MacKP : http://metamodels.readthedocs.org/de...ustom-sql.html (last paragraph).
