HOW TO: use the SEARCH ENGINE [module] to search the NEWS?

I developed a website blog-alike, actually it is a publication where few people write articles. The articles they write are in fact NEWS in different NEWS ARCHIVES. I created a SEARCH-ENGINE module that works but does not search those NEWS elements in my NEWS ARCHIVES. Is there any way to obtain this effect? It's crucial in my website that the search-module searches the content or headline of a NEWS element.

By default, Contao should index those news archives. Did you enable the "Enable searching" option in the "System settings"? Did you already have tried to "Rebuild the search index" in the "Maintenance" back end module?
