Insert tag page not working?

I have created a vertical subnavigation.
I would like the parent page title to display in the navigation.
Since it does not show because of the navigation starting at level 1.

I have tried using insert tags, but no luck.
{{page:arentPageTitle}}
{{page:arentTitle}}

both not working.

I also tried {{link::back}}
this one works, so insert tags are working.

But what am I doing wrong with the page tags? None of them seem to be working.

Which version? How can we reproduce this in the online demo? Where are you placing your insert tag? As there is no module "vertical subnavigation" but only

• Breadcrumb navigation
• Quick navigation
• Quick link
• Book navigation
• Article navigation
• Sitemap

This is an older version, 2.9.4

I am using custom navigation as a subnav.
But I also tried the insert tags in a normal article element without luck.

only the go back insert tag seems to be working.

So where did you find a manual that tells to use this insert tags in 2.9.4. You have to use other insert tags.

I tought it was something like that.

Cannot really update it, using catalog, site not working properly anymore after updates.

Can I find the insert tags to be used in this version?
