Default Contao 4 - using custom HTML/Bootstrap 3 website template

    Hello,

how could we add a custom made bootstrap website template to contao 4? This was possible in contao 3 fairly easily, as you would only need to upload the template files and folders to its root directory and then only create html5 template and add a few modules.

However, I find this more difficult to do in Contao 4. The site looks ok, however it does not load custom .js files (for example bootstrap.js). So navbar does not go responsive..

Also in Contao 3 the only folder to put your own public files in was files/, although it works with a folder in ROOT. So put your files into files/css/ or whatever and set those folders to public with the filemanager.
