Default Where derive from these syntax, [nbsp] and more?

    Hi,

This is a simple question not for asking some trouble.

Contao has a few syntax using "[" and "]"; [&], [&amp], [lt], [gt], [nbsp] and [-] from TYPOlight era.
Where they came from? TYPOlight original invention??

    Best regards.

Don't know where they come from but if you search in core files for
    preserveBasicEntities
    https://github.com/contao/core/blob/...Input.php#L698
    restoreBasicEntities
    https://github.com/contao/core/blob/...gUtil.php#L251
    maybe you will find out.

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I already know these code fragments.
AFAIK, it looks like investigation of Contao (or TYPOlight).

Anyway, I think it should be documented to docs.contao.org...

Yes, I agree. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us.
