Root page rewrite

I've noticed that with each site I build, when I type the domain name of the site...www.mysite.com, the URL redirects to www.mysite.com/home.html, rather than just displaying it as www.mysite.com

I'm using the default htaccess with no mods, other than to add the domain to the www rewrite (lines 222/223).

These are 3.5x installs. Annoyingly, I did resolve this on 2 site about a year ago and have completely forgotten how...I recall spending ages working it out...duh!

Any thoughts?

Awesome...thank you for this quick response...that's exactly what I figured out on the other site a year ago but for some reason I completely missed this whilst looking again...clearly not at my best...it;s been a long year!
