    Default Unable to connect to database.

    I'm trying to connect to a database on a different machine with Contao 4.
    I have an older version of contao running on the same machine as the Contao 4 and it can connect to the other machine's database.

    For testing purposes installed a demo of Contao 4 on my personal mac, it can connect to the machine with the database, however the main server running Windows 2016 and IIS can't connect to the database on the machine running the database. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Are there any log entries in var/logs/prod....log?

    Nope. There isn't any log file. And nothing in the php error log and no contao system log either.

    Part of the problem is, that Contao hides the reason for not being able to connect to the database. You could make a change/feature request here: https://github.com/contao/core-bundle
    Describe you problem and that Contao should show or log the reason for not being able to connect to the database.
