Default New to Contao 4.4. What about extensions ?

    Hi everyone,

I went to contao.org to download Contao for a new project but instead of 3.5.xx I found 4.4 (LTS) or 4.5. I downloaded 4.4 to test it in MAMP environment. Everything went successfully and I'm discovering the interface. But I don't see any any extension manager.
So what about installing extensions ?
Do I have to do it manually ?
How to find compatible ones ?
And is it still possible to download Contao 3.5 if needed (for example to work with MetaModels) ?

(Hope this won't be like when we went from 2.xx to 3.xx)

    Thanks for your answers.

The extension manager has been replaced by the new Contao Manager in Contao 4. You can download the Contao Manager from contao.org: https://contao.org/en/download.html

Documentation (currently only in German, though): https://docs.contao.org/books/manager/de/

    Yes, of course. See https://github.com/contao/core/releases

Thanks xchs for your quick answer.
I found the new manager by its url : mydomain.ext/contao-manager.phar.php. Just missing a link from the BackOffice

one more thing : I don't see where to modify parameters like memory_limit and max_execution_time.

The Contao Manager is designed to work as a standalone application. That said, this means that even if Contao or the back end does not work anymore, it should be possible to repair the installation via Manager if necessary.

These are server or PHP settings.
