Einfache Installation bei Strato hängt

Hallo!

Heute hänge ich vorerst mal bei einer einfachen Contao Installation für ein Update, egal ob 4.9 oder 4.13 der CM bleibt hängen bei folgender Stelle (4.13 - bei der 4.9 ists die gleiche Stelle nur so - Installing symfony/routing (v4.4.44): Extracting archive).

Hosting ist Strato (PowerWebBasic), PHP 7.4.32. Hab schon x-mal von vorne angefangen, bleibt immer so.

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Warten bis spätabends oder zu einem vernünftigen Webhoster umziehen . Eventuell klappt es auch mit PHP 8, was ja schneller läuft als PHP 7 (hoffentlich auch bei Strato). Ich probiere das nachher auch mal bei Strato mit meinem Hosting Basic. Wenn die Installation nicht nach mehreren Versuchen immer weiter kommt, bis sie schliesslich durchläuft, dann bekommst wohl bei der derzeitigen Serverlast einfach nicht genug Ressourcen für die komplette Installation. Eventuell findet sich ja eine Logdatei irgendwo, wo man schauen kann was passiert ist.

Ich weiss echt nicht, warum Gott und die Welt bei Strato hosten muss . Muss wohl an der Fernsehwerbung liegen, an den Leistungen des Hostings jedenfalls sicher nicht.

Ist ein Kundenhosting - ich hoste auch niemanden auf Strato.

Zumindest konnte ich jetzt via Konsole installieren, und hab dann den CM installiert. Mal sehen wie es weiter geht. Updates und Installationen darüber sind jedenfalls extrem langsam... und holpern alle, gerade beim abschließenden cache warmup.

PHP8 generell kann ich nicht, weil die Live Seite noch PHP 7.4 benötigt. Mal gucken das ich das für das Vereichnis mit der Updateinstallation eingestellt bekomme.

Fernsehwerbung ist halt nicht ok, wenn man deswegen an der Hardware sparen muss. Es wurde ja hier schon des Öfteren berichtet, dass tagsüber die Probleme eher auftreten als spät abends oder in der Nacht. Übrigens ganz genau so wie früher bei 1&1, wahrscheinlich hat Strato deren alte Hardware geerbt . Falls also bei den Hostingservern nicht irgendwann Schichtwechsel ist und die Nachtschichtserver fixer arbeiten, muss es wohl an der Serverlast liegen, woran sonst? Zumal du ja auch noch bestätigst, dass es über die Konsole deutlich flotter geht. Hier wird ja der Webserver (Apache, nginx, was auch immer Strato da am laufen hat) umgangen. Das mag nicht auf jedem Webhostingserver gleich schlimm sein, aber offenbar bei manchen schon.

So, jetzt muss ich erst mal die Login-Daten für mein Strato wiederfinden , dann mal schauen, was ich in der .htaccess eingeben muss, um PHP 7.4 für eine neue Installation zu nutzen (Global umschalten mag ich nicht, weil da auch ein Contao 5 installiert ist und PHP 8.1 benötigt). Meine restlichen Installationen habe ich alle am späten Abend mit PHP 8.1 gemacht, deswegen bin ich jetzt mal gespannt ob es durchläuft und falls ja, wie lange es dauert.

Bei mir hat das alles nicht wirklich was gebracht... Der CM hängt immer wieder, dazu irgendwelche Fehler - ich hab die Sch** voll. Sorry.

Hab das jetzt auf einen anderen Server gepackt. Da bekomme ich aber auch wieder Fehler beim Testlauf mit den RockSolid Installationen... (hatte aich auch bei Strato) - kann damit jemand was anfangen? Contao 4.9, auch PHP 7.4 erstmal.

Was das Problem angeht, ja. Warten wir mal ab, ich mach morgen oder übermorgen weiter und hab ja jetzt die Installationen auf beiden Servern zum parallel testen. Und… ich hatte bei Strato noch weitere Fehlerchen z.b. beim Cache warmup, welches nicht zu Ende lief…

Fazit: Strato scheint eben doch problematisch...

Am Ende hab ich die Updates auf meinem Server gemacht, weil Strato immer wieder hing an der o.g. Stelle und beim warmup.

Dann hab ichs mit Umzug der Installation probiert. Auch dabei wieder Hänger an o.g. Stelle (Installing symfony/routing (v5.4.15): Extracting archive) bei frischer Installation von C 4.13 (egal ob PHP 7.4 oder 8). Dann Contao via Konsole installiert und alles umgezogen nach der Anleitung (schon zigfach so gemacht). Hat auch scheinbar geklappt - Seite ist da und funktioniert. Folgende Probelme bleiben:

- Fehlende Symlinks (Z.B. /files in /public), hab ich dann manuell nachgesetzt
- überall falsche CHMODs (640 anstatt 644 und 750 anstatt 755)
- einfache Erweiterungen funktionieren nicht richtig obwohl der nachträglich installierte CM sie als korrekt anzeigt, z.B. jrgregory/m17-sticky-backend-footer oder sharebuttons (vermutlich auch wegen fehlender Symlinks oder den Rechten?)
- Änderungen am externen CSS File erfolgen erst nach manueller Contao-Systemwartung
- Im Contao Backend gibt es keinen Link zum Manager (unter System)

Contao-, Browser und Prod - Caches hab ich natürlich schon mehrfach erneuert.

Hat da jemand eine Lösungsidee? Ansonsten werde ich wohl den A-Record umbiegen zu unserem Server.

Das hab ich alles auf der identischen Installation auf unserem Server nicht.

Hmm, Strato ist wohl irgendwie so eine Art Wundertüte. Je nach Webhostingpaket immer wieder anders. Ich konnte gerade eben meine beiden dortigen Installationen problemlos updaten. Eine von 4.13.8 auf 4.13.12 und die andere von 5.0.1 auf 5.0.4. Ausgestiegen ist der Manager jedenfalls nicht. Es ging jetzt zwar nicht besonders schnell, aber auch nicht übermäßig langsam. Trotzdem gehen die mir auf die Nerven mit ihren regelmäßigen Werbe-Mails für kostenpflichtige Zusatzprodukte. Wie z.B. SSL-Zertifikate, weil meine Testinstallationen Subdomains sind, für die im Paket ja kein Zertifikat enthalten ist. Oder "Sitelock Scan + Repair" oder letztens sogar für einen Abmahnschutz für schlappe 5€/Monat.

Es geht ja in einer Menge Paketen auch bei Strato, aber scheinbar nicht zwingend abhängig vom Strato-Paket sondern eher vom Server und sicher auch von den Erweiterungen, die zusätzlich in Contao installiert sind.
Durch eine Agentur, die Kunde bei mir ist, habe ich wieder vermehrt Kunden bei Strato. Bisher aber was Installation und Updates über den Contao Manager betrifft völlig problemlos alles. Im letzten viertel Jahr (ca.) tatsächlich ohne einen einzigen Absturz des Managers. Früher hatte ich die beschriebenen Probleme regelmäßig.

Naja, an den Erweiterungen wird es hier wohl nicht liegen, wenn die Neuinstallation schon nicht funktioniert. Bei mir ist es auch problemlos durchgelaufen. Eigentlich immer bisher, bisher so ca 4-5 Mal. Also sind die Server, auf denen es nicht funktioniert, entweder gnadenlos überlastet oder falsch konfiguriert. Darf ja wohl nicht wahr sein, dass es im Basic geht und im Plus nicht.

10 Minuten? Dann ist der Prozess wohl abgeschossen worden, so lang dauert das nicht mal bei Strato. Wirst du wohl doch in die Konsole müssen, da könnte das dann tatsächlich funktionieren.
Teuer ist das Plus-Paket nicht, aber teurer als das Basic, das kostet nur 8, bzw in meinem Fall 1 Euro.

noch schneller geht die Installation wenn du bereits eine composer.lock hast, und die ist bei @charleen mit Sicherheit erzeugt worden; einfach mal nachschauen; es werden dann keine Abhängigkeiten mehr ermittelt; bei ihr scheint es am Cache zu hängen? der Cache-Aufbau dauert bei mir auf der Konsole von allem Anderen was so installiert wird am längsten, das andere im @tabschen "Affenzahn"
ich würde einfach mal auf der Konsole das Cache-Verzeichnis löschen.
Und außerdem zuerst völlig ohne Erweiterungen installieren und die Standard .htaccess nutzen

Ich kann das von @tab und @planepix nur bestätigen: derzeit alles im grünen Bereich; ich fahre mit der von Strato empfohlenen PHP 8.0; der Umweg über CM und Webbrowser ist evtl. zu störanfällig; da bin ich mit der Abkürzung über Konsole direkt lieber am Ort des Geschehens ohne Umwege

gestern eine Installation auf PowerWeb Plus mit dem CM frisch installiert.

Keine Probleme außer dass es gefühlt sehr langsam lief. Möglicherweise bestehen die Probleme - so wie @tab es auch schon vermutet hat - an unterschiedlichen und ggf. falsch konfigurierten Servern.
Wenn STRATO einen Serverumzug anbietet, könnte man das ja tatsächlich mal versuchen.

Falls ein Hosterwechsel in Frage kommt, kann ich AllInkl Premium sehr empfehlen.

Da war ich gestern Abend wohl nicht mehr ganz so frisch . Eigentlich wollte ich das Kommando für den Install auf die Benutzung des im Contao-Managers enthaltenen Composers abändern, habe aber versehentlich das Update-Kommando angegebenen, was natürlich nicht mehr nötig sein dürfte, wie ich ja selbst schon geschrieben hatte. Wäre also alternativ ohne eigene Composer-Installation:

/opt/RZphp81/bin/php-cli public/contao-manager.phar.php composer install -o

Edit: Da sie beim zweiten Mal etwas weiter gekommen ist als beim ersten Mal, gehe ich davon aus, dass es wahrscheinlich tatsächlich an mangelnden Ressourcen auf dem Server liegen wird und eher nicht an einem Problem der Serverkonfiguration. Also einfach mal beschweren beim Support. Und wehe der Support schlägt mal wieder vor, für Contao einen vServer zu bestellen.

Richtig, es ist nicht nur die Installation. Beim Seitenaufruf und auch im BE macht es sich bemerkbar. Ich hatte heute noch ein paar Arbeiten im BE der Seite zu erledigen, glaub garnicht, dass das durchgängig möglich war.
