Hallo liebe Community,

für ein Update bei einem Kundenhosting (Domainfactory) versuche ich eigentlich nur ganz simpel mit dem Manager Contao 5.3 (PHP 8.4) zu installieren. Die Installation bricht aber relativ schnell ab mit folgender Konsole:

You can also run `php --ini` in a terminal to see which files are used by PHP in CLI mode.
Alternatively, you can run Composer with `--ignore-platform-req=ext-sodium` to temporarily ignore these required extensions.

Findest du bei DF in der cPanel-Administration unter „PHP-Version wählen“. Dort dann den Haken bei „sodium“ setzen.

Empfohlen hab ich den Wechsel beim Kunden das schon... aber... das ist eine öffentliche Verwaltung.

Im CPanel hab ich eigentlich schon geguckt... aber natürlich nicht konsequent... jetzt hab ichs gefunden... Der Manager moniert allerdngs weiter die fehlende Extension. Oder muss ich etws geduldig sein, bist der Server das aktiviert hat?

Und vielleicht nochmal prüfen, ob du sodium auch für die für deine Website richtige PHP-Version aktiviert hast.

Beides war nötig. das Warten und auch die Umstellung auf die Standard System PHP Version 8.3
