The upgrade is now completed but I'm struggling with installing...

MariaDB 5.7.19
PHP 7.0.18
Apache 2.4.18

This element still uses the old Contao 2 SRC...

The reasons why I "need" to upgrade to 3.3 or 3.4 is, simply take advantage of the features in these new versions ...
But as many extensions I'm using aren't compatible for 3.4 yet, I have to stick...

Solved !

Added the following in system/config/local.config.php


$GLOBALS['TL_CONFIG']['displayErrors'] = true;

and upgraded PHP to version 5.3.3 and it work like a charm ....
