Forum E-mails -- too many

Is there a way to have the forum only send 1 e-mail, because now it sends one if you are subscribed to the FORUM as well as to the TOPIC?

Well, if you subscribe to both the forum and the topic, you will receive the notification twice – because you have actually subscribed twice. PhpBB is just following your commands

Cancel the topic subscription and you will only receive one notification.

Oh crap. I just thought it would do some duplicate resolution at least... It's only because I set my default profile to auto-notify on topic, so I guess that's where it goes wrong then... but I always forget to subscribe to my own questions, so i'll see what to do about it... hmmm...
