Upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7

I have a 2.6 installation. How do I upgrade to the latest 2.7.1?
Can I simply download latest, unzip and upload files?

I just upgraded manually from 2.7.1 to 2.7.2 and as far as I can see all went well and it was really easy.
